Substitute Teaching Permits for Education Students - The Wilson Area School District will issue substitute teaching permits to individuals currently enrolled in a teacher preparation program in a Pennsylvania college or university accredited by a regional accrediting agency recognized by the US Dept. of Education. To be considered, individuals must have completed at least 60 semester hours (or equivalent courses) at the college/university. An individual who receives a substitute teaching permit under this section can serve as a substitute in the Wilson Area School District for up to 20 days per school year. Temporary Financial Clerk - The Wilson Area School District is seeking a temporary Financial Clerk to provide clerical and financial support in the Business Office. This position assists with accounting, purchasing, and record-keeping to ensure accurate and compliant financial operations.

Qualifications:

Experience in clerical, accounting, or financial office work
Knowledge of basic accounting principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Experience in a school district or public-sector setting preferred
Familiarity with school accounting software and payroll/purchasing processes a plus

Essential Duties Include:

The Child Protective Services Law, under Act 153 of 2014, requires all School District employees, contractors, and volunteers having routine, direct contact with children to obtain new clearances every 60 months (five years). Clearances include child abuse, state and federal criminal history checks.

In addition, the Commonwealth of PA, pursuant to Act 168 of 2014, requires applicants who would be employed by or in a school entity, in a position involving direct contact with children, to satisfy the Act’s requirement of providing information related to sexual misconduct/abuse, by completing sexual misconduct/abuse disclosure release forms.

Below are instructions for obtaining clearances and completing the required forms.

Read and Accept Terms and Conditions.
Choose “Individual Request”.
Select “Employment” for the reason for request entry; complete forms as instructed.
Results are typically instantaneous unless they are “under review”, in which case note your reference number and the date of the application. Use this information to check back on the “epatch” website periodically until your results are available.
Print clearance, making sure to click all the way through to the “certification form” button. The document you print must show your SSN, DOB, etc. and will have the State seal in the background. We will not accept the “Receipt” and you will not receive a copy in the mail.
