Wilson Pride

For generations, Wilson Area High School has served as the blue and gold
ribbon that has bound families together into a spirited community. Supported
by parents, students, teachers, administrators and staff, the high school
proudly boasts that it "has something for everyone." The education
is top-notch, the spirit is second to none, and the atmosphere is one of
a closely-knit area that shares an intense interest in academics and extra-curricular
activities.
Wilson Area
High School is home to over 800 students, grades
9-12. The extra-curricular program is extensive. After school clubs
are available in the areas of music, sports, academics, volunteerism, and
the arts. Students always find a niche and many are occupied in after
school events year ‘round.
The
small student to faculty ratio allows for individualization and intense
personal scrutiny over academic areas. Students are encouraged to
excel in every subject offered at Wilson, and are urged to keep up with
current technology that will allow graduates to reach full potential.
Computer education is a major part of students’ studies, and the well-equipped
library and state-of-the-art auditorium offer extensive opportunities to
expand horizons.
Wilson
Area High School offers over a dozen varsity and junior varsity sports,
which enable students to pursue excellence in athletics. These programs
serve to showcase abilities and to train young minds and bodies to compete
mentally and physically in challenging experiences, which are ardently
supported by parents, relatives, and fans.
High
school graduation requirements include a variety of courses designed specifically
to meet the needs of each student and to challenge every individual so
that he or she will be able to make a significant contribution to the world
upon graduation.
It is with
extreme pride that Wilson Area High School stands on Warrior Lane, representing
the best that this closely-knit community has to offer and astutely asking its
inhabitants: ENTER TO LEARN…...
